Yes, spend some time with the poor woman.
I'm sure there'll be all sorts of little bits of clay that need 'tidying up'.

    You're not a bad person; You're a dead person.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

The point is you should have damn well remembered the anniversary and you should have already sorted out the present, dinner etc.

Like did you forget it was Easter too which only comes around once a year? Do you remember other things?

You may not be a bad person, just a forgetful bastard.
    Cheers

I agree, as the way it was told to me. after I gave my mate crap about buying
    flowers for his partner.

If she's happy, I maybe happy.
If she's unhappy, I'm most likely to be very unhappy as well.
Also not trying to be sexist.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

Nah - hadn't replied coz hadn't been online.

Actually, I had not forgotten the anniversary at all, just had no plans for the day. Mrs What? has plans for an all-day gardening session, which interests me not.

    Firefight is 126% correct...

But thanks for the interesting replies boys and girls. I am actually much more devoted than the original post might have implied. Honest, I am.

    Anniversary

Well my husband and I have been married 7 years, and been together 8.5 years. We love each other totally - On our recent anniversary day my mother
'n' law turns up late afternoon with wine and flowers. Hubby and I look at each other wondering "ohhh whats the occassion?" then we click......oh thats right. (then we both felt awful for forgetting!)

Maybe its the whole external sociatal expectation thing.....

....Or we aren't "the average normal couple "....

''What', you are not a bad person by any means - everybody is different and
if it is upsetting her....then maybe its the wrong thing to do to choose clay
birds over a flesh and blood bird

I went shooting, Wife went gardening and got her hair done.
Then we had a nice dinner.
After that is none of your business...
Today we bought Mrs What? a new car (well, new by our standards)

Katwyn - she wasn't upset at all. After all, I didn't forget our anniversary, we just didn't spend the whole day together. Much like most people, I guess
