Arrrg! Someone crashed into my car today

Man what a poo start to the week!! The 1 day I decide to drive to work so I can get a warrant and my car got taken to school!

I was driving on the motorway up the middle minding my own buisness when this chick came flying up behind me in the fast lane and pulled straight into the side of my car!! Every panel on the side of my car is damaged, front tire popped and my front lights got smashed I called the cops and they came to assist, the police man was really helpful (was a biker cop) and he sorted everything out. Had to go home and get my bike.

Well at least no one was hurt, just hope my insurance fixes up my car and the chick pays for it

she has to pay for it, shes hit you from behind... so aslong as everything you have said is true then you will get paid out.

get a copy of what the cop says... that will help to back you up.

Even if the girl ends up paying $10 a week, its to the insurance company, not you... not sure but i think because its her fault you will keep no claims bonus etc.

Get those details from the cop's report!

I'll guarantee that when it comes to it her story will be that she was quietly tootling along very safely minding her own business , and you came flying up from behind at warp speed and swerved straight into the side of her car without indicating.

hahahaha, na she was actually very good about the whole thing, she apologized and said it was her fault and she will pay for all the damage, when the cop came she said the same thing and the cop put it all down in his report. She got fined for dangerous lane changing and has to pay for my damages the cop said.

    Cool

Good to hear that you are ok...
    The car can be fixed...

Write everything down as to what was said...
and keep a record of dealing with the cops and insurance companies...

What type of car is it - model year etc...

Chat to Motu - he repairs cars etc.... after accidents etc.

Write the car off and spend the money on another bike, more gear, deposit for another bike and more gear, bike related gear (locks, stands, tank bag)
Wouldn’t have happened if you where on your bike.
    1) No one in a car can ever catch you.
    2) You would have been there already.
    3) You can kick cars when they get too close.
    4) You would have seen her coming and moved befor she got anywhere near you.
    5) She would have seen a bike because people in cars always look for bikes after the ACC campaign!

Anything you walk away from is good, cars can be fixed.

Its lucky you were in your cage - this chick sounds like she would have done the same thing if you were on your bike...
