Now that's the difference between a police officer and a pig. A fair nicks a fair nick, but that's a waste of time, time he could've used to do something useful.

I have to disagree with that, from my (many) experiences with the police they have been pretty reasonable folks and have often been willing to exercise discretion provided they are treated with a little respect and they know that you know you've been a bad boy.

    Try it sometime.

Of course if the copper happens to be a complete wanker as well (common, or garden, complete wankers can be found anywhere you know), well thats just bad luck.

    Zero tolerance Otago!

There has been a lot of talk about zero tolerance on Otago roads but it seems to go in bursts. My kids have been casualties of it. (101kph)

Maybe Scumdog could shed a little light on it. if he's able to. Is that official policy in Otago SD? Cheers, John.

It must be getting tough for the poor old Higway patrol , I travel a lot in my job and have noticed that speeds have reduced and its rare that anyone travels much over 105kmh in cages now. I have gone from Napier to Rotorua , to Tolaga Bay and Back to Napier in one day travelling around 105kmh and not held anyone up and only had one car overtake.

They have to ping you overtaking or gaining a bit of speed down a steep hill now to meet targets I guess.

I would be happy to see a blitz on Texting and Driving , thats scary !

No way, you are fucking kidding me. 101kph?? Was that the only offence? There would be no way I would stand for that.
