Right, so last week I managed to fix the NC23's firing problem, which turned out to be a pulse generator, nice and easy just a plug in part and roberts your fathers brother, but for some reason the indicators stopped working, looked at the flasher unit and it looks like its seen better days. Ah ha me thinks, needs a new flasher unit, can't find a proper one anywhere on Saturday and all the wreckers are both closed and useless. So i hooked up a new after market one which had the same voltage and blah blah blah, still didn't work, so i'm guessing i broke a wire somewhere along the lines. so anyway i thought maybe my flasher unit is broken and an aftermarket one just won't cut it, so i got to the wreckers today, tried a Honda (actually Mitsubishi) flasher and again, no lights, which confirms my theory that a wire has broken somewhere in the loom.
Just to top of my fruitfull visit to the wreckers, an indicator lens was loose as i have been fucking around with it too much...... and that went walkies on the way back to work. So now my indicators don't work, the wire on the front left indicator bulb unit has come off and needs replacing or i could attempt to solder it back on and the right front has lens has taken a holiday. Despite all this crap, i still love my Honda CBR 'el Crapo, its better then not having a bike at all.
any suggestions in regards to the wiring on the CBR or way to retify the problem (and don't say buy a Suzuki, Zukki, Gixxer, whatever its been said to death so try a new line, plus Suzukis never break down cos the riders crash them before they get chance to)
would be much appreciated.
