Argggh, what else will go wrong

Right, so last week I managed to fix the NC23's firing problem, which turned out to be a pulse generator, nice and easy just a plug in part and roberts your fathers brother, but for some reason the indicators stopped working, looked at the flasher unit and it looks like its seen better days. Ah ha me thinks, needs a new flasher unit, can't find a proper one anywhere on Saturday and all the wreckers are both closed and useless. So i hooked up a new after market one which had the same voltage and blah blah blah, still didn't work, so i'm guessing i broke a wire somewhere along the lines. so anyway i thought maybe my flasher unit is broken and an aftermarket one just won't cut it, so i got to the wreckers today, tried a Honda (actually Mitsubishi) flasher and again, no lights, which confirms my theory that a wire has broken somewhere in the loom.
Just to top of my fruitfull visit to the wreckers, an indicator lens was loose as i have been fucking around with it too much...... and that went walkies on the way back to work. So now my indicators don't work, the wire on the front left indicator bulb unit has come off and needs replacing or i could attempt to solder it back on and the right front has lens has taken a holiday. Despite all this crap, i still love my Honda CBR 'el Crapo, its better then not having a bike at all.

any suggestions in regards to the wiring on the CBR or way to retify the problem (and don't say buy a Suzuki, Zukki, Gixxer, whatever its been said to death so try a new line, plus Suzukis never break down cos the riders crash them before they get chance to)
    would be much appreciated.

Indicators are easy. Same as cars. All else failing get a cheapo indicator flasher unit from Repco. Check that you have 4 indicator bulbs that work . Ensure that your wires are all connected . Make sure the indicator warning bulb in the instrument cluster is OK (this is importnat). Connect all up and it should be go.

Uh, if by "not working" you mean no lights at all on either side, odds are it's a fuse. You HAVE checked the fuses , right ?

are you saying that the indicator buld in the instrument cluster could be blown and that would stop the indicators working, like its part of the circuit. Cos i have n't checked that....... twould be a tad embarrasing if that be the case.

Yes, but it depends on hat you mean by "not working". If both sides are the same, lights for the appropriate side come on, but don't flash, or flash too fast or slow, it is probaly a blown warning light bulb (or the wiring to it)

If one side works normally and the other doesn't work at all (no lights, or just the warning light) , it's either the switch or a wire.

If one side works normally but the other somes on and doesn't flash properly it's either a blown bulb, or wrong wattage bulb.

If NO lights work at all (and you can't hear the flasher unit going tick tick tick) , it's either a fuse (90% probability) or , just MAYBE , a defective flasher unit, or defective switch or defective wire to switch. But 9 out 10 is fuse.

yeah i definatly checked the fuses......
all i'm worried about is that the guy who had the bike before me whouldn't have been in controll with anything more then a blender, he tried to do some wiring on the bike and every time i look at repairing something, i find more of the previous owners butcher attemps at electonic repairs.

yeah, but the key thing here - is that they worked before you touched it..
