XT225 Clunk Noise when switched off

    Hi all,
I am looking at buying a second hand XT225 and tghe bike starts and runs very well except it seems to make a "Clunk" noise when it is switched off.
Is this something major or just a querk.
    Thanks for your help.
    Dave

It's normal for the XT600,so possibly normal for the 225 aswell.

    Ours does it as well.
Like some bikes I think that it is the starter motor disengaging.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

SRX250 (which is same engine as Xt250) does it also. Normal I think, as commented, something to do with the starter gears disengaging. Or summat. Anyway, they all do it.
