    New BMW R1200S

    What you peoples think ?

I like the stying, black looks best.

Apparently BMW claim 122hp out of it with 190kg dry weight.

I quite like it. Looks a lot like the 850 parallel twin they are making...R850S or something.

Not too bad for a BMW.

Yeah, but the silver looks best. Seen them all black and all blue too, they're not too bad either.

I have a really poor attitude about the boxers, I have struggled for years to be objective about them, but fail every time. That is a nice looking beast, but that boxer engine throws lines off the side of the bike, which just don't flow in the same direction as the bikes bodywork, and hence, my hesitation.

I'm kind of the same with Guzzi's and CX500's too, although not as bad.

    Still, a good effort for a boxer-beem.

Bleurgh. It's rare that I find a bike to be entirely foul, but BMW have achieved it on a couple of occasions.

I have kro's attitude about the boxer. I just hate it. Like, look how much metal there is in there.

Also it's arse is trying to be like an MV but completely failing. The frame has strong elements of Ducati, but without actually looking good. The tank has all the "Chris Bangle" bits that are so solidly detested in their cages. The zorst is too shiny. And they have that recent BMW thing where only the top half has either fairings or colour. Just ... bleurgh.

Shame - the K1200R looks much better. Good even. And the F800 looks OK-ish as well.

Although I prefer the previous model to this one, I kinda like the quirky-ness about it. If the space between that exhaust and the rear wheel was reduced a bit, I think it would be an attractive bike. Not enough to overcome the weight and inevitable overpricing, but attractive none the less.

Well I've heard of love at first sight but here was my first impression of this bike when I opened the images....

"Butt fucking ugly to the point of dry retching and beyond".

A whole lot prettier than the piece of shit I'm so embarrassed to call my own at the moment but at least mine has got some character.

The exhaust looks twice as long as it needs to be, simply to be 'in' on the latest styles.

    And I normally like boxers.
