I so am!! But maybe it's time for the chicken to cross the road..

    I took Allun's CBR600RR for a spin last night!

(Well, the wheels were spinning, the bike didn't really go anywhere cause it was up on a stand...)

But after trawling KB archives and talking to people I think I might keep my eyes peeled for a FXR150. And ride it in the carpark for like a year.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone, you guys rock!

No, you rock!! You've gone from being too scared to gettinmg yourself out there and doing it. Str8 Jacket better watch out at the next trackday! 2 FXR's (with air horns blaring) neck and neck down the main straight.

Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

Theres so many things wrong with that post:
    1) Str8 doesn't have an FXR, she has a KR150
    2) Have you heard the factory horn on an FXR, it's pathetic.

Bekki, FXR's are good to learn on, they're light and agile as well as being gutless, so it wont kill you. Good luck with searching

Many apologies for my inconsistencies! (go on have a go at my speeling!)
    I should have said two 150's ....

Maybe I shouldn't encourage anyone anymore....

Good on ya Bekki!! A 150 is an awesome bike to start with, see if you can try a few bikes before you decide. I have a KR150 which is a two stroke, definately an awesome learners bike, they look very similar to an FXR but are a Kawasaki and are a whole lot louder!

    Yeah, 150's kick ass! I've got a KR150 too.
And I'm going to the Taupo track day in May. Perhaps I need an airhorn

YES, you definately need airhorns - if for no other reason than shock value!

Get the ones (Locomotive horns) that'll need a truck battery strapped to the back of your seat!! Be a whole lotta fun that would.

imagining myself with air horn and heavy truck battery...
"hey! guys!" (honks on ridiculously loud horn) "back here, wait for meeeee"

Of course that isn't true. Clint always wants to ride behind me. Can't think why.
