Yeah but there's nothing like "the stare" to get the some money in.

    Just joking.

Reason was I don't use paypal. Could use the account I suppose. Be nice for us to make a group donation, may prompt other groups to do the same.

The "every so often" bit makes this a bit hit and miss, but otherwise a good idea. How about applying the same idea to the newbie ride - I wouldn't object to making a "gold coin donation" every month. (As long as I don't have to carry the bag of gold around afterwards!)

Not a good look when someone shows up for their first group ride and we look like the PIC.

I'm not gonna make it tonight. I have a test for uni. Crap

Weather looks good tho, so you guys have fun.

PS. I'm probably gonna have to stop coming to these rides soon anyway. I couldn't see an elephant sitting in the road in the dark with my headlights. It's starting to get dangerous for me

Primo I think. Going to turn to the South so hopefully that is not accompanied by a front.
[edit] - front not occuring until tomorrow night. Should be good tonight though.

That's a shame but totally understandable.
I'm not the best night rider either but it's always nice to get out.

I'll be there. Winds are forecast to ease - be great if they do.

    Cheers Uncle B

The thought of actually not going on these rides is kind of painful to me, so I'll probably still show up quite often. I'll just be taking it very easy.

I have 25w bulbs in my headlights. 25w high and low. They're crap. I'm told that if I put higher wattage bulbs in, I run the risk of melting my headlight, so I'm basically riding blind in the dark.

I disagree. I think newbies benefit greatly from the site, if for no reason other than that it gets them in contact with other bikers. Let's face it, they wouldn't be on the newbie ride if it wasn't for the site. Also, most of the people on the newbie rides are not on their first group ride, and many are not newbies.
I think this is a good opportunity to pass the hat around once per month, and if Uncle B mentions "gold coin donation for site upkeep" in the advertisment, then there is no reason for bad looks. Donations are always optional, so no pressure is on anyone who doesn't feel so inclined.

Guys, theres a link down the left-hand side of the 'home' page for this site. You should be able to pay there. Just click on 'home' in the menu-bar and start lookin.
