A good ride had tonight. Thank you everybody!

TCWNR rode from Avalon to Paremata via the southern end of the inlet, then down the motorway towards Wellington and taking the Tawa offramp.
Took the old Glenside/Middleton road from Tawa to Johnsonville then headed out to Makara Beach. Rode from Makara to Karori where we stopped in at a local pub "The Quiet Something?" Before commencing the run home.

Hadn't ridden the Makara roads for quite some time. many hairy moments as many corners have dirt and gravel in spots.
My apologies for loosing my cool with one member of the public before flashing the birdie.
Other than that, it was a very enjoyable evening. Thanks all.

Argh - someone should've texted me to say you were in Karori! I would've popped in to the pub to say hi at some stage if you were there before 8.

(Dafe it's 'The Quiet Lady' - what a crap name. It used to be the Terawhiti Arms which was way better, maybe the owners of the Station decided they didin't like it or something).

    Yeah...there's no such thing eh!

Good ride folks - 17 odd bikes at Avalon. Hope everybody enjoyed the change of scenery again this week, it was a nice night for a ride. The road home to the coast had little traffic and was really nice riding under the full moon - the light off the water etc.

Nice to meet cowboyz - hope you had a good ride home

Yeah I really enjoyed last night, despite my bike not feeling right all night...
Had wee "incident" last night on the way home when a 4x4 decided to change lanes right into the car in front of me, which resulted in the car in front of me flying backwards a good 5 metres into me. Not much more damage to the bike than there already is, was good of it to fall on the side it was already broken... Im a bit sore today but no damage and helmet only very slightly scratched.

cheers guys, I saw the 4x4 suddenly changing lanes into the car, saw that I had nowhere to go so I put on the brakes and stopped right where I was. Unfortunately small car versus 4x4 = little car flying. Couldve been worse...

Nah, there was no (more) damage than before the accident, I think maybe because I had come to a stop and not kept riding towards the vehicle. There was more damage to my pride - flying over the handle bars isn't the most elegant thing a person could do... Besides the guy with the 4x4 had no insurance and the guy whos car hit me wasnt at fault but he was really good. I rode the bike to work this morning and its sweet as so im not gonna worry, hey at least shes unique, eh?!
