Biker down 07/03/06

Not sure what happened as our truck driver just came in to tell me...

Accident just happened around 9:50am at the intersection of where the south eastern motorway crosses Carbine Road in Mt Wellington.

Not sure on condition of rider, heard it was possibly bike vs van.

Im gonna go for a walk up there now to take a look and try find out more.

yeah, hope they're ok.. That's never a great combo

quick fyi, if things turn out not so great, just be careful with details until everything is confirmed and ok'd to be public..

Went for a walk and had a look around, saw the back end of a tow truck driving off with the bike on the back (couldn't tell what it was - was too far away).

Couldn't see any ambo's or anything else...maybe SpeedMedic might hear of something?...

Couldn't see anything else, just hope the rider is ok. I guess we will hear about it if they are a KB member.

Nah nothing, if it was serious (but hope it wasn't) I guess it will be on the news at some stage.

May have to wait for SpeedMedic to wake up from his beauty sleep and let us know if has heard anything.
