Ahhh Clean Cut, such a little troll, but having worked my way into a suitably comfortable job, I guess I've got a little time to spare to re-educate you. But first, top effot on whole caps lock thing, you're nearly where my 4 year old cousin is for keyboard control

You try to correlate poor service, buying offshore, and appaling workloads and stress, but with no facts or evidence to back it up. Have you considered that poor service isn't the effect, but part of the cause of the trend towards offshore sales? Of course, the Internet has pushed us towards a global economy, and any trading business should recognise that.

I don't think you should really be commenting on credibility. Unless of course you've got the balls to actually say which business is your own, but I'm guessing not.

It's a natural trait for people to slag off things, more than they praise. That's not limited to KB or the Internet. If you didn't have your head up your ass you'd already know that. Having said that, there's been at least two threads recently that have been extolling the virtues of places with good service.

My poor old 9 year old Kawasaki. She's been a faithful servant, transporting to and from my classes for the last 4 years while I finished my Diploma and Degrees. I'll be sad to see her go, I don't even really want to sell it. But, Suzuki are doing great deals at the moment, and I think a big twin like the SV1000S will probably suit me fine. I make enough from my business to buy my fair share of toys every year, so I think it's going fine. Admittedly buying a house and getting married in the last 6 months has slowed my discretionary spending down, but that's life. But really, you don't even get to comment on bike ownership, you've not even got one. Not only that, but you're too much of a self admitted pussy to ride one because 'the roads are tooo dangerous, my porridge is tooo hot... waahh waahh waaaaa'.

Oh yeah, buy my bike guys, otherwise it'll sit in a shop, pining to be ridden!

This forum is too often a vehicle for slagging dealers. Much of it may be justified but where serious mud slinging is not justified how does the dealer defend himself? Given only one side of the story it is just amazing how so many jump on the slagging bandwagon and start using catch crys such as ''small claims'', a mechanism that all too often is just as notorious as the DPB or grievance claims....to that end I might also use the word appalling.

And to shallowly say ''The only thing the NZ motorcycle industry is concerned with is selling new bikes'' is about as credible as Bill Clinton stating ''I did not have sex with that woman''

It is in fact you guys who are the real losers, in the end. Will you guys be here to turn the lights out or are you going to eventually bail offshore as well because of the conditions you are helping to create?

By the way my business is doing very nicely thankyou and would be able to employ more staff at better rates of pay if we had a more enlightened tax regime. That would be a positive....but reading your dull ill thought ramblings highlights the negatives.

Mate you need to get a life!. This thread was started by someone who found great service and an excellent price from an overseas supplier - Its non of your fucken business where nor will you bullshit influence where anyone of us is going to purchase things from.

People are gonna buy things from overseas from time to time for whatever reasons....BIG DEAL! I personally do it myself and so do a lot of others, but I also do purchase things from our local stores too.

Just because someone got an awesome deal without supporting out local stores, doesn't give you the right to slag them off - you don't know them, you don't know their reasons behind doing so....I suggest you pull your head in and get a reality check!.

The retailers will have to provide service and the right price to compete.

Getting to know the local guys in a bike shop can be quite helpful, but what good is it totally slagging off everyone and everything? More love in the world man...

Maybe the dispute should be settled in the old way... Two razors and a handkercheif. Whoever cleanly shaves the opponent, and retains their beard shall be the winner!!

Sometimes it could be a lose lose for a shop to import a small ticket item, takes more time than its worth, and it could cost the purchaser an unhealthy premium in markups. Free markets equal equal opportunity, and of course the possibility of all sorts of negative, but tariffs, import duties etc aren't exactly a great way forward, which country says, yay, lets be like france!!!

A buyers market is traditionally better for a healthy economy.

My economics lesson is complete, no need for class notes or homework, just nod and smile... and back away vvvvveeeerrrryyyyy slowly...

With the money we've saved, we can afford to import new ones... Besides, fixing motorcycles isn't exactly rocket science. Even if the whole motor blew up, I can import another cheap online. Really, we don't mind you coming to troll here, but is there any chance you could rub your two brain cells together and come up with something at least half thought out? I noticed you haven't got the balls to own up to which shop you're from... I'm guessing you secretly know your attitude is outdated, and you fear a backlash to your business. Or maybe it's simpler than that, just no balls.
