I take it you do realise the poor c**t has a white blanket over him/her?

People will ALWAYS rubber-neck, it's carnal human nature. Some people are able to supress the urge with sense/respect though (not many I presume)...

The best gear won't stop you from coming apart if you hit a car or similar at speed. Wear the gear as we should all do but it is your riding skills and attitude that are your best line of protection.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Oh, be careful if you're at a motel on "broadband" (well, 0.2MB u/l and d/l, baud rate, actual d/l and u/l speed of 30kb/s vs Telstra Clear's 1100kb/s), that crash info site took my MB usage from about 8MB used, to 58MB used! Bloody motel net rates! You get 10MB cap / night on b/band, then extra charges (luckily it's relatively cheap at $0.20 / mb)

I wasn't having a go at you, just checking. Like I said, human nature (again, not getting at you).

Didn't think you were getting at me.

Also, nice photos you posted above. Did the doctor let you get to have a poke around in the wound yourself?

Perhaps a very timely reminder. Never until I visited these forums have I found such sympathy for the helmet-less, and gear-less rider, which I was raised to believe was utter stupidity. Personally, I think some of your views on gear/helmets are so fucked up, I gave up arguing with those concerned.
The site spells out in plain detail, the potential consequences. Hey, if you thought you were immune to this, chances are you're deluded, and irrational.

I think considering the fatalities we have seen thru KB, this would be a sobering wake up call. Never hurts to brush up on the basics I always say.

Hey last time this got posted I refered to it in a thread about what would make you slow down...........I said if that page didn't make you think twice to slow down nothing would.........then the neg rep flowed.

Yes that page opens your eyes to your own mortality, I just think Christmas Day is not the time to post it, especially when people here have lost close friends recently or have been seriously injured and won't be home for Christmas today.

It doesnt bother me if someone types empty-less threats on a forum...it makes them look stupid. No offence taken mate...I know where you are coming from, but in this day and age I think we cant be reminded enough about what danger we are in everytime we hopp on a bike (motor powered or even leg powered). That site made me feel sick...which is its whole point, each time I hopp onto my bike I will try and remember these pictures in hope I dont end up on that page.

I feel for all the family and friends that have lost loved ones while they were riding but its a sad fact of life...riding can cause death or at least pain. As sad as it sounds its better to learn from others mistakes. Dont take this post/thread as a stab at the things that have happened in the last couple months...those are sad events that I wish on no one. But this is biking and we must get our head out of the sand and open our eyes...you can never be to safe.

Xmas blessings and all the best for the New Year, its a time to be happy...a new start even

If you were riding on Christmas Day would you ride any safer, better than on any other given day. I came across this site while I was at a family members house (who also rides) and thought I would post, knowledge is power my friend weither is Xmas or Easter.

Ok Im a newbie to forums but has this thread (the one I started) been joint in with another one or something? The titles changed and pages have doubled.

Also a sad thing, I have received 2 bad reps because of me posting this link to the webpage. Strange when you want to show fallow riders a page that made you feel different about riding and thought it be good to show them hoping it would do the same for their safety they smack ya back down. I was only sharing it because I thought it may make riders think twice about being throttle happy or pulling stoppies on the main street etc. Guess I will keep my concern for other/all riders to my self. Bad Kneescraper....bad bad man!

Am I supposed to be concerned? Most of those fuckwit merkins weren't wearing riding gear to start with.
Just more anti-bike propanganda. Been there, done that.

I'm sure you'll get over. Bad reps mean f*&k all really got a few myself. Just continue contributing to KB. It is a "community" of sorts with lots of differing opions.
