expensive day , so far ,,,,,,,

hi all , now i dont often post on here but thought i would tell you all about my day so far , over to cycle treads for a nice new michelin pilot power rear , $330 , then off to scrub it in , headed from my place (out west) up towards kumeu , turned right by allely house onto old north road , gave it a quick squirt along the staright , then radar detecter went crazy, bugger got a ticket for 130kph! was still in first gear! only gonna set me back $230 , i thought it was gonna be more that that , but also got 35 demrit points , can't complain really , first ticket since 1998. didnt slow me down though , once i had gotten my paperwork and mr plod was off to the donut shop, i carried on up north, only to almost bin it on a damp corner, time to head home me thinks!
noticed on way home mr plod sitting on side of road by allely house/ old north road waiting for his next victim!
cheers all , have a great weekend!
    :-)

    Cool

    Ouch expensive day alright...

How come the radar detector didnt let you know in time...?
    Or was he too close...
cos I thought they went off and let you know a certain distance ahead...

So did you manage to scrub in the new tyre???

    Ouch, better luck next time.
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

yeah radar went off , he was behind me by about 800 mtrs or so , by the time i heard the radar and eased off the gas and figured out where he was it was too late ,radar has saved me before in the past and if i hadn't had a brand new tyre on the back i might have done a runner , i guess you could ay just dont speed but its kinda hard on a bike like mine , and yep gona park it up for today

    So that was you then

Hiya, I saw you at cycletreads this morning when I was getting a tyre for the bucket racer, that bike of yours looks real smart. Sorry about your expensive morning but at least you held it upright after that moment on the damp spot. Can only hope the weekend improves for you.
Some days it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.
