    Plastering sux!!

I am sick to death of plastering! I want a job in the motorcycle industry somewhere.. Problem is cant pay mortgage and retrain at the same time..

The question is how do you get a job in the industry you love when your stuck in another trade/industry ??

Arrow Had the same probelm once.

Was a deckhand who had enough. Yea I had to reprioritise things and one of em was selling the house so I could retrain. Had to live like a student for quite along time and it ripped my rashin card at the beginning, but I did get used to it. You would have to be pretty lucky to just get the job you was after and I've allways had to work pretty hard to get to where I achieved. This involved 4 years on a student allowance retraining. These days I'm laughing, even a good work buddy reckons I landed on my feet when I became a nurse. Never been better in real life, just struggling with this online stuff (ironic I know). Took me a good 12 months to figure out exactly what I wanted to do, sounds like you have figured that one out allready. Now its a matter of how, as you asked in the first post. Sorry I don't have any insightfull comments regarding that question.

How well do you get on with the local bike shops? If you have a good rapport with one, maybe offer to work Saturday mornings, even for free to get a bit of experience. Also offer maybe to work Saturday mornings and rather than get paid, see if you can get a credit on your tab or account. I did this for a while, worked OK, got experience and learnt the ropes, then your able to chase a permanent job. Can be done, but you won't get rich....

Why not work your arse off for a year or two and get a stack of cash behind you, then re-train. I know a few stoppers who work for thenselves and have done very well. Lots of work out their

Don't worry, coming around for a coffee in a mo......
    And I have ciggies.
