Good call SPB, someone told me Tristank got pulled over a week or so back, and the cop "whipped it out", and Tristank was heard saying "not the bloody breathalyser again".

Sad really that such a nice lad can go down (hill) so fast.

Except I've heard the 'facts' regarding 'doing runners', taunting cops etc on different occasions from the imposter himself. Or was he just full of shit and talking himself up ?

Which am I ? Inflated ego or hooligan offering an opinion ?

    Neither.

I for one don't want to be hassled everytime I go for a ride by the boys in blue due to the actions of a few bad apples.

I don't have an ego nor am I a hooligan but I do have an opinion.

If you're in a car, he seems to have an issue with bikers though. I've even heard the same from other cops.

But (just to keep a bit of perspective) in the eyes of the law anyone going over 110 is a 'hooligan' and should be punished for it! None of us are innocent according to them so it's not as black and white as I think we're all making out. I'm def not trying to defend madboy's shinanigans but I don't think we're all as squeaky clean as it sounds eh (yeah ok - some less than others but you know).

Yeah sure we push the boundary's every now and then but to actively instigate a police pursuit to me is being a hooligan.
We all take a risk when we ride a motorcycle and try to highlight our presence to other motorists that we are there but in a positive way....when hooliganism is flaunted in public it highlights us as an unlawful dangerous sector that, in the eyes of the law, needs to be controlled more strongly.

I love motorcycling but don't want to be butt fucked by the cops everytime I pull out of my driveway cause I'm classed as a hooligan.

There was a story around a while ago about a guy overseas who did a runner, then boasted about it on an online forum. US or Britain I think. By the sounds of it he obviously admitted it online and put in enough details. By pure luck the cop who he did the runner from happened to be surfing the net a month or so later and came across his story. It's pretty easy to trace someone's real identity from the net when you've got the resources the police do, so they tracked this guy down and he got busted.

Based on what's being said in this thread, I'm wondering when Spank will get the word from the boys in blue to cough up some of his server records...

So if a hooligan is somebody that rides over 110kph on the motorway, what do you call somebody that does a runner when on a newbie ride (240kph+)
Especially knowing that there is a post on the front page for these advertised rides which expresses that if you cannot stick to the groups pace, don't attend.

There are times and places for picking your moments for hooning. We also have a track and various club days available to us for when we need to get excessive. I can't understand why you would need to do so many runners.
I zip around the place plenty enough and in the last four years have been pulled up once. What do you have to be doing to result in multiple runners?
What is one trying to prove by this? Why does one have to feel they have anything to prove in the first place?

Perhaps it's time we find ourselves a resident shrink!
