I'm with Big Dave here and quite happy they read these forums as it may open their narrow minds (Bykey Cop & Scumdog don't mean you) to what the world of motorcycling is all about. I guess this site is a fairly broad crossection of us all and if they (rozzers and those that manage them) were genuinely interested in making the road a safer place for motorcyclists they would use this site as a measure of the motorcycle communitys needs above finding out where we are all going to ride on a sunday so that they can gather revenue.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Me thinks a bit of paranoia going on here.
what aload of shit. if your a bike cop your just another Highway Patrol ho.
bit of paranoia is good though. keeps you on your A game.

last week i nthe car i passed 4 bike cops doing piecock hill. wished i was on the fukn bike. bunch of nanas. i think next time ill go out an hunt down a bike cop an drag him up the rimutakas. an get 20 odd bikes to give him the learn. teach him what good riders we are then he can tell his buddies an leave us alone. but wheres the fun in that.

True - expect for the times they get drunks off the road, and enforce all those rule that suit you... instead of those you choose to break. Be sure to list them succinctly so they know which is which.

Yeah - that's the way it works - you piss them off and they give up.

the issue isnt rank and file plod, its the bureaucracy above them. because they have all this bullshit "performance measure" and stuff, issuing tickets is an easily measurable way to "Achieve real results with road safety" yada yada its all been said before.

    To put this in context...

IF the cops really wanted to - they'd nail 95%+ of our sorry arses every time we organised a ride. They have the resources etc to do if - if that's what they chose to do (at the expense of the taxpayer and other crime police activities of course...)

It's paranoia. No biggy - give and take... all that stuff.

When I am more awake, I'll try reading section 11 of the Crimes Act. Anyone who is currently awake is welcome to try and find something interesting in there.

no idea what the fuss is about. I've had my bike limited to 100kph, and I have a switch to limit me to 50kph. so I never speed.. Both tyres are permanently in contact with the road too and thanks to their advanced technological grip, never fail me yet.

i also drink Tui, but not while I ride.
    cos i spill it everywhere

You mean it didn't come like that.......surely the Govt doesn't allow imports of motorbikes that can do 2/3 times the speed limit, allow you to buy them and and receive GST Revenue when you purchase one.........scandalous.......I need coffee to wake me upto this reality
