What a crazy thread. I think we're over estimated our importance in the big scheme. I've heard there was a sweep up of boy racers at the LH carpark Thursday night. My guess is we were just a small unexpected side dish that fell in their lap.
As for the HP waiting at Kaitoke. What's new about that, they've been turning up there for years. HP patrol highways! It's their job, get used to it. Amazing thing is how often they leave us alone. Throwing shit at them on here is not going to help is it. That's clever, lets abuse every cop and then we can all have something to moan about because we've invited them to target us.
I do enough stupid stuff myself to attract their attention without having the local plod full of anti-bikers.
Finn's ideal of back handers is the best thing I've heard in ages. That would work for all of us. Save paper work and time. can we start a petition on this for the Police Act review. Make it part of their 'discretion'

Honestly Officer this has really been the first time I've been pulled over for this. Normally I'd use the correct prose but I don't know what came over me. The sun was in my eyes. I was avoiding a small child running out. I admit that I was probably typing a little over the limit but I don't think a ticket is warranted in this case? Surely you can make an exception this one time?

And the Waihopai satellite station intercepts our phone calls and emails and faxes and sends them direct to the CIA who listen to/read every one of them.
And those black pipes on the road record your rego number so that your every move is known.
And these silver sleeves on power poles in the country aren't to stop possums, they hide sophisticated eavesdropping equipment.
Oh, and the CIA killed the pope.
And every time you use a photocopier it records the image and at night it sends it by radio to the PM's office in case you're copying anything negative about the government...
Have I missed anything?
Did I mention the facial recognition software in every webcam?
Or the plot by the Education Department and the LTSA to brainwash our kids so that they'll dob us in for speeding?

in truth, the ex/cops on here are more than likely speeding around like everyone else, just they know better than to blow on about it on this forum & probably choose their time/place like most successful speefreaks. You can't tell me rf900s, cbr1100's ,tl1000's ,hyabusa's etc are for doing 100kmh & generally behaving. & even the odd harley rider is not immune to the ol leg stretch just to keep the engine clean.
