Saw this on our way back home in the drizzle. The injured person was wrapped up in blankets but still lying on the road (that tight right-hander at the top of the last passing lane heading up to the summit from the Wellington side). No sign of a damaged bike. The surface wasn't too bad, I thought, but if the rider had clipped a white line or a cats eye right on the apex, that may have been enough to cause an off. Cops for Africa -- two at the scene and three more heading up before we got to Kaitoke gardens.
