Real question you need to be asking is "once it went pear shaped how could I have recovered ?" (Clue - push push push )

Attention shoppers! Outside today, we have a cripple fight. Cripple fight, outside!
Not to sure I think once it started to go pear shaped I could see the out side of the coner getting closer and freaked abit. I did not stand her up and try to brake i kept leaning but I was looking at the wrong place.Originally Posted by Ixion

Mate whats up your bottom, The man just fell off and is trying to sort out in his own mind what went on, You need to chill and have some compasion. How many times have you crashed ????
Dont sweat the small stuff, It only makes you stressed,
yeah it is a little bit of that speedy. That is why I called it a wake up call.
But I will still say I was not pushing it hard, I was not trying to be the man and ride beyound myself. But it was a bloody big wake up call that it dont take much to SCREW UP And I still have alot to learn.
we all do brother, all riders have a lot to learn.....![]()

I was the 2nd one (behind Road Rash) to Momentum's bin, and that corner was a deceiving one (dip on the first bit of corner for a good line)... I was still riding very slow from my bin 5km or so earlier so my line wasn't that much of a line... so yup, I joined the bin club today too... post is here, as to not hijack this one:

I still have a thing about right hand, downhill, off cambre corners after doing much the same thing.
Bummer you binned but good to see you came out the other end in one piece.
Ok, here are the pix of todays binning events of myself and Momentum:
Pic #1: My bike: handlebars and wheel are inline with the bike, but not the light
Pic #2: Momentum checking the bike damage
Pic #3: His Shift jeans (he's lucky to have worn those)
Pic #4: My knee, after hitting the tank on my highside in the bumpy grass. (details in this thread: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...045#post540045
-strangely i only noticed my knee when we were at Momentum's bin site

Hey dude, sorry to hear about your accident and all that bullshit, however I'd like to know, is the rule of "Look where you want you and the bike to go" applicable in this situation? The fact you freaked caused a loss of concentration on where you wanted the bike to go, resulting in the accident?
Looks like you came out of it reasonably well for a 50kmp/h crash, I guess that shows you handled coming off well (i.e. keeping the bike somewhat upright until hitting the crash). Good for you, sobering learning experience.
Least your in one piece thats the main thingit could have been a lot worse :slap:
