Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Nah they don't mate. I've been telling Road Rash to get an RGV front end and graft that in seeing as his flatmate is a fabricator and made the muffler that's on his bike. While they're at it, Momentum is a very similar bike. They'd be a very trick pair of CBR 250's then.

Very unforgiving road, one little mistake and your fucked. The main problem is there are no road markings and the road is narrow, so taking the wrong line into corner and running wide would be very easy to do.

Momentum, I know you're not an idiot on the road from riding with you and good stuff for putting on the 8kkms.

Downhill corners are bitch, they can be sweet or gravity punishes you, I've run wide once or twice on the corner just outside my house because you the loss of grip and the ground falls away from you.

I'm really guessing at this but at 45-50k you probably could have pulled through if you'd given yourself a chance by looking through the corner. Its hard to make it your initial reaction tho. very hard. I don't know how I'd react in the same situation and I'm sure theres plenty of experienced riders who would end up in the grass.

    best of luck.

Earlier this afternoon I was coming down Matakana Valley Road in Matakana (extremely twisty road down hill) and went off into gravel. The bike did all sorts of weird things but I managed to keep it upright, luckily.

The thing which ammused me though, was the cause, I simply looked exactly where I was going, which happened to be off the road. I laugh now because the corner could of easily been navigated.

I wonder how many bike accidents are causd by this simple rule.

Skyrider, it appears that you didn't get the message, and he even enlarged the font so you wouldn't miss it!!

He and most others here don't want your self-righteous, unfeeling advice, so go back and crawl under the rock from which you came!

See Zeds post #53. The bit about crawling under a rock or in your case putting your head up your muffler.

hehe that's pretty much what i did... except i didn't notice the lump in the grass until i was too close to it... *If only i had carried on looking at the other side of the corner...* oh well, my bike is back to normal, so i'll just chalk it down to experience...

my brother thrashes that DT to death, from what he told me he was in front of you momentum, he said you kinda dissapeared from his ever vibrating mirrors.

No he didn't, he said 'He was in the centre, period. It's not a 'what' but a place. Just think about it it'll come'. Apparently if you think about it, it'll just come... It's either some useless zen shit, or someones (trying to) covering up their fuckup
