Had the bikes up on the dyno - edit dyno pictures attached

GP Honda, was having there offical opening day on saturday, so went along, and saw he was running cheap dyno runs, so i though what the hell and threw my and wifes bike up.

My 04 gsxr600, full race yoshi rs3, tre, bmc filter, ngk iridums, only put out 103hp @ rw, but it showed the bike is also running really rich. So when i can put a pc3 on it, will make a huge difference

Also put the wifes 04 gsxr1000, 2000kms, with tre, and yoshi bolt on tri-oval, it put out 145hp @ rw, with the fuel map dead on.

Before wifes bike was put on i said it would be about 145hp, i was right, i was hopeing mine would be around 108ish, i guess, once i get it remapped, it would be up there.

The main reason for going was due to fact they were having Aaron Slight there, for the opening, so i wanted to get him to sign the arron slight biogrophy i have.

Seems strange to me that it's running rich when it's got a higher flow filter and exhaust...I'd have thought so much more air going through with the same amount of fuel would make it run lean. Unless the ECU is over-compensating already...or unless my theory is wack...

Not point out anything like who wears the pants but why do you have a 600 and she has a 1000. Course there is nothing wrong with it but i would have though that both of you will either have a 600 or a 1000

Engima she did have a vtr1000f which had disagreement with taupo raceway and well lets say raceway won.

So she decided next bike was going to be an inline 4.
Looked around, and we found a brand new 04 gsxr1000 (candian spec, yellow) for 15,500. We couldn't even get a 600 for that same money. Since she isn't someone who revs bikes, she more surfs the torque curves, the smaller cc bikes don't really suit her much. where the 1000 does.

Personally for fun i much perfer riding my 600, if was clocking alot of long distance riding, i would perfer the 1000, for touring and like on open road. Since alot of my riding is around town and short fun rides, the 600 suits me at this point in time.

And saying that she is my wife so it is half mine, by law. (c:<

A change in sensed airflow will constanyly alter timing/injector rate. Adding extra air wont make it run lean (unless the injectors are maxed out). I think youll find what usually happens is that the stock airflow sensor measures too much air flow (even more than the added changes with the new mods), thus making the injectors dump too much extra fuel than is really needed... There is also the manufacturers oem margin of "tuning safety" too...
Based mostly on car experience tho~~~
