    yeah - me too.
i have (wearing them now actually) a pair of tepor stradas.
they have worn pretty badly in the 18 months i've had them.
for what they cost ($400 from memory) i'm pretty underwhelmed.
i'd like to see what the warranty is too......

nah, I want physical paper or a site that Sidi endorse (like theirs) that states what their warranty is.

This is their site, and I can't find anything about warranty on it

They're only warranted against manufacturing faults. 12 to 18 months isn't really premature wear for bike boots.
The importers say that there are several variables, the boots must be appropriate for the purpose, the general condition will affect the success of a claim. But the normal warranty period for road boots is 12 months.

Ahh the warranty card for mine was on the box. I should dig it out and see what it says.

My Sidi Vert's have lasted me nearly two years now, no issues whatsoever. Although I'd expect that for the price tag ($700).

yeah, Dev, the 'warranty card' just says something like 'Proof of purchase' and only has a space for the dealers name and date. Doesn't have any conditions or guarantees

Whats the problem with the boots? I have had mine for 6 years and they are still great. I wore them every day for 3 years. Raced in them for 1 year. Great boots. I am sure they will stand behind them.

sad thing is, I doubt Sidi know that these boots have an issue.

long story short, the plastic protection on the ankle and heal are cutting the leather. Some other riders I know have the same boot, and it's not happened to them. The shop has admitted it's a warranty issue, but there's a little more to it.

I'm going in tomorrow to really nail this, then I can elaborate more. I just wanted the black n white on their policy.

I have known a few people (including myself) who have had problems with Sidi boots made in the last 6 years, certainly not the quality boots they used to be. I pay less than $200 for a set of work boots, wear them at least 12 hours a day 6 days a week in the wet, dirty and they get a REAL hiding as well as doing alot of riding in them. They last over a year.
If sidi cant make a set of boots after all these years of making boots, for less than $400 that will do at least 300 hours before falling apart, then frankly they suck and are ripping us off.

The zip went on my sidis after a year of use, they fixed 'em for free and said they would honour any other faults in the future, which pretty good stuff. just had to bring 'em back to the shop I got 'em.

    persistence pays..
boots replaced 'under warranty' and I didn't have to pay any extra.
They were trying to charge me for the use of my old boots to when they failed. I don't see that as how warranties work myself. So after a lot of refusing to pay anything for a new pair or replacement boots, I wore them back to work this lunch..
