I haven't managed to scrounge a ride on our demo yet. But the one of the sales guys had 299 on the clock at Puke'. He still said the new RSV mille handles better.
Too much power is just about enough.
of course, you work at AMPS so there's a fair chance he's biased. Not that I'd complain mind because I'm a wannabe aprilia nutter too! As for looks, the inline boys can take a seat behind the RSVR factory as far as I'm concerned!!Originally Posted by Lou Girardin

I was at AMPS last week looking at the CBR1000R on the showroom floor. First thing I noticed when looking at the tyres was that someone had given it a good thrashing on a track.
Hey mark use at least castrol GPS semi sinthetic, gtx aint the best for wet clutches ( Im a mechanic ) spark plugs arent all that hard to change on VTR,s just need small hands. I might run fully sinthetic in mine. I noticed GPS started to break down after 3,000km in my VTR so I usually done my oil changes about 3,500km. I made up my radar bracket today and have it fitted , just got to wire it up tonight.dont like riding without it. The local cop told me that small bikes with a lot of plastic are hard to get a lock on which is good .Have you guys got any trips planned down this way. Cheers Toddy
Puke must have some damn long straights to get that far up to speed. I now have no doubts that the CBR can reach 290+something anyway.Originally Posted by Lou Girardin

A friend in Germany hit 280 on his cbr1000 and backed off. He told me it was still pulling reasonably well so i'd say 290 would not be impossible at all.Originally Posted by Mark Dunn
