Ahh insurance not a subject I am too fond of after insuring the bike for 3k, bining it then getting an offer of $600 from the insurance company for it, 2 local dealer quoted on it (one of these dealers has been applauded here for great service) sight unseen, fine they took no time to look at the bike but you cant that I have found replace a reg'd and wof'd 500cc bike for less than $1500. When the insurance company was informed of this I was told to get quotes of my own, fine the only 2 dealers they accepted quotes from were the local agent and the other dealer they got a quote from and neiter were interesed in comming out to look, the insurance company was also not willing to look at the current market values on the net or in the paper to give them an idea of true values.
Moral get an agreed value then insure it to that, get it fixed at that value for as long as possable then get it revalued when required save some grief and dont end up out of pocket.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
