    Cheers

I have a mate called Phurrball ! a bit unkind, but it does suit him ! G.

No, it wasn't a ticket. It was an arrest. And it wasn't the dairy, it was the corner of K Rd and Howe St.
    Got a lawyer yet, Lee?

Where have you been Lou? Prostitution is legal now. Did you know that the Bettles have split up?

Ha! Almost exactly the same thing happened to me last week! On the Takas I overtook a mufti (was it the silver one Taz? sorry - don't know models) and he pulled me over at the bottom of the hill, told me it's not a racetrack, let me off and was generally a good sort. Except he tried to imply speed was a factor (as usual) and I argued that it wasn't. Good to see cops promoting a reasonably positive image, and not just cause he didn't ticket me, but cause he had an ok attitude and reasonable perspective on the whole thing. They're obviously trying to simmer down bikes on the hill at the mo, but maybe they're trying to be actively 'good' about it.

Actually I take that comment back. A short lived glimpse of optimism crushed by reality. I think that guy was just a one off.

Velox it was a gold car and it pains me as a guy not knowing the model but I'm still not used to them all over here. The officer had a really good attitude and if they keep that up they will get more respect.

A big Thank you to Marty at typeface for sponsoring me to have a go in my first race

Thanks to Steven at kittyosheas for building the computer program we're using at the sprints and the Hill Climb.

So what your saying is the police are people too huh? Interesting theory, where might I subscribe to your newsletter?

Just kidding, I have quite a few friends who are police officers and ex police officers and they are generally good people who are just that.... People!

I find politeness goes a long way, if your going to get a ticket then 99% of the time you deserve it and if you get let off with a warning then it's a bonus and a cheap lesson.

However, anyone who thinks they can alleviate their own misery by making someone else's life miserable is an idiot and will,if they are lucky, find out they are wrong. It will turn them into horrible shrivelled little black things (psychologically speaking) that will die of cancer with no friends

Heh. Yep, gotta always treat everyone as a person but there are quite a few that don't act like they are and put on a 'programmed-robot' routine instead. But I agree - shouldn't influence the fact that we should treat them as 'people'.
