    CBR250RR Rear Tyres

Just trying to get a rear tyre for my lads CBR250RR. Aparantly Nationwide dont bring in Pirellis in 140/60/17 anymore. What are you guys running and is putting on a 150 rear an option Cheers Toddy

I just put on a 140/60R17 Dunlop GPR70 for $250 every one says its the biz. I personally would have liked to try the newer Bridgestone BT090 on the rear. As I already have it on the front and love it. I would bother with any freaky expensive Italian/Euro brands, I wouldn't think there would be any benefit over the top models from the large established brands.

I wouldn't mess with the profile or width of the tyre, cause it will change the shape/curve and handling characteristics of the tyre. Stick to the specs for best results with regards to tyre sizes.

150 is fine if that's the flavour of tyre you want to go with. It will change the bikes characteristics a little, including a slightly slower turn in

Go with a 140 Dunlop GPR70. It'll turn like it's supposed to, and stick like shit to a blanket

What grade Pirelli?? And is 140/70 x 17 a better option than going wider?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

going wider slows the turn-in for the corners. Doesn't really give you any extra grip. By sticking with the 140, the bike is set up to run that, so it'll be theoretically performing at its best. with Vipers.

    That's just asking for trouble.
If you go with the GPR70s, don't go fast on grass, they're not so sticky then
