Gear Indicator

Hey

I was just wondering if anyone has installed a digital gear indicator like this on their bike: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

It says it can practically be hooked up to any bike and year. Just wondering if anyones done it and if it worked well.

Doubt it will work on an SRX250. As I read the blurb it requires an electronic type tacho . HAs a dedicated wheel speed sensor, and compares wheel speed and engine speed to figure gear (it refers to "teaching" the gears, ie calibrating).

SRX has a cable tacho . But why would you want one on an SRX250 anyway ? Other than bling. Just use the tacho. Up at 6000 down at 3000, add 2000 if y're in a hurry.

I'd be mildly interested.. Looks up there as far as price goes. Have you spotted any others ?

Yeah was just dreaming. You can get one for cable speedos. Just thought it would look nice and 'bling' haha.

Might just get a 5' Monster tacho and shift light and some other guages like boy racers have. JOKES!

Not too sure. They are pretty expensive (about $100+ NZ). Would be worth it if youve got a nice looking bike and you wanted something to compliment it (wish i did! hehe).

Do a google search. I think there are others - For Cable and electronic tach.

Save your money and buy a chain oiler.
I bought the Loobman Chain Oiler and here is a review done by myself and a few other on KB.
It does the trick for those on a tight budget or want simplicity.
