entertain ment system? you can push it over [itll drop an inch the rest on its pegs.

Nah, the one thing on a H-D that is tops is its side-stand - true!
Never need bits of wood or cans under the stand on a H-D when you prak on grass.

Somehow all the 'imitation' H-Ds have always failed to duplicate that

And H-Ds ARE entertainment just by being there

So what if 'all others' handle and have lots of power for their size? they still don't have good side stands!

As for comfort, (and the above too) exactly how many km HAVE you ridden on any H-D? :spudwhat:

(And BTW I'm not the type to throw a bike around too much on the twisty bits but my tyres are still worn right around to the edge of the shoulders - for what it's worth)

So enjoy what you ride and how you ride it!!

went o wellington on an 883 sportster and i fucken hated it, i even got to ride it and it just wasnt my kind of thing so im going to be a twat and discriminate against hareleys. but if you like the side stand thats ok.
it was vibey and to upright and those bloody pegs are like attracted to the ground and the brakes were sortof ok, a wee bit better at hauling up than my gn, but i geuss that was the weight. i must admit i was impressed by how easy it was to ride

My wife had a Harley with the worst sidestand I've ever seen - it had a spear point on the end.Parking on grass was out of the question, and even on hot tarseal it would just sink through and dump the bike on it's side.Bloody crazy idea for a trail bike!

So the best part of an HD is something you use when it's stationary?

Criticising Harleys for not being sprotbikes says more about the critic than the bike.
If I had to cover 1500 k's in a day I'd rather have an Ultra than any sprotbike.

i have a severely damaged spine and fucked nerves, i find an upright position extremely painfull and sitting in a cage also gives my alot of pain just by how im siting, but on a sporty bike with low bars/clipons i dont have these problems as my arms/wrists and hips take the pressure of my spine

Hahahahahaha, now you're showing your (lack of) age. You'll be regretting that decision well after the cruisers have well, cruised... You definitely have to ride some more bikes before making that judgement. After a few big jaunts you'll have well lost your desire for pose on long trips. Sportsbikes have a place, but chewing up 1000km in a day sure ain't it.
