Sorry to hear that Cibby, I'm glad that it sounds like only minor injuries. Its easy to panic and make a basic error that has nasty consequences - dont beat yourself up too much over it! Happens to the best of us, and it sounds like you are taking a lesson from it which is the best thing you can do in the circumstances. Heal up quick, ya hear?

Well your pretty lucky. Those rocks would have hurt..

At least I had nice smooth tar to slide along
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

You managed to survive; either you pray to the right god or you didn't fuck up too badly!

Riding courses sound like a good idea. It is awesome to see that you are thinking ahead in a positive way.

See you on the road soon

Sorry to hear that and glad you are OK.

I tend to get a bit 'grab for the brakes' ish myself when I see gravel mid corner (thank goodness for Guzzi linked brakes) but funnily enough, braking mid corner like that will just about always spit you off and yet hitting gravel will only 'maybe' spit you off..

Very hard to get the brain not to react though!

    Best Regards
