Eeeek. Thats no good to hear. I'm glad you didn't follow the bike onto those rocks, they look like that last place you'd want to end up in.

Wow! Spectacular tumble eh?! Main thing is that yr ok, ( if it were me I know I'd be shedding a tear over me bike tho... ). That is a nasty bit of road at dusk and it gets worse when you get away from the coast up into the twisties. Rode from Kaiaua to Manurewa at dusk a week or so back and was having to brake almost to a halt cos of the sunstrike on some of the corners... literally couldn't see where the road went!
Hope you and the bike will be fixed for the Biker Angels ride...

Not a retard at all! Just shows how road riding is not the same as track riding. You never know what's around (or on) the next corner. It can happen to anyone and is the reason we try to tell the less experienced to take extra care on the road. Glad you're okay and bein' looked after. The tyre companies have made incredible progress with tyre technology and wet road riding is a lot safer because of it, but no-one can come up with a road tyre that'll handle the situation you found yourself in!
