- preparing a map + list of destinations that I have travelled for work purposes (not nearly long enough unfortuantly)
- Preparing a letter 'from my lawyer' which I will pass to my lawyer for review and alterations (since 'my lawyer' is a friend doing me a favour)
- Preparing a letter for my boss to read and sign (The Affidavit)
- Getting my building manager to pull the last 40 days of swipe card activity to prove building access times (since I come in early and late and on weekends etc

If you get served the 3 months notice, sign the paper that the rep hands you, but the police man never comes to pick up your licence...you're still sweet so long as you've 'sat out' the 3 months aye?
They wouldn't pull some bs in the future about you not having served your 3 months just 'cos you couldn't find the licence to take it to the cop shop, would they?

according to my ticket, (paraphrasing) you must surrender your license to ther person who serves you when they serve you.
even if you retained your phyiscal license for whatever reason. if you were caught driving with it you would probably be charged more since its an invalid license and your still disqualified.

True, I guess by signing that piece of paper that they bring around, you've effectively surrendered your licence, even if you haven't handed over the physical one.

Yeah they definently take the vehicle (28 day impound). They also take you down to the cop shop, where they take statements etc and release you... outside the cop shop, with no way of getting anywhere 'cept the wai-wai express.
Been in that situation before (not me that was disqualified though... I was just a passenger heh).

Well I think your best bet is to sell your bike buy a cheap gix11 they are going cheap on tard or something else, and take the rego vin off, and take your rage out on the world.

I dont have the documents to post yet as my lawyer friend is doing me a freebie so its not top priority, she is busy sueing people ripping off the red bull logo.

note: once the demerits have been applied to you. your license is STILL VALID untill you are served and have it taken off you. (Ltsa wanted to make that very clear to me)

Turns out. if you manage to get MORE demerit points after the document server has attempted to serve you (and failed) and you pay them off quickly, the extra demerit points DO make a lump sum. so if you were to now have a total of 135 demerits now, when you get suspended the whole 135 gets wiped at the end
the downside of this is, if you manage to rack up more demerits it makes the document server go out and try visit you again.

If you retain the photo licence and attempt to use it when pulled over (and yes they do know who all the disqualified drivers are and what they drive/ride), you will lose your bike for 28 days (impounds are expensive in themselves), and be arrested for driving whilst suspended and using a document (fraud charge).
You won't look too flash in front of a judge with that lot and he/she would throw you a significant disqualification and/or fine. Fraud can wind you up in prison. Not only do you end up with a traffic charge, but a criminal one as well, so may stuff your employment too.
You are free to choose however you live your life. However, you are not free from the consequences of those choices.

call 0800 4 LICENCE and they will do all the paperwork over the phone for you, plus it costs around $600 - $800 to get the licence. Heard it on the radio this morning.
