    licenceing problem

Went and breezed through my full bike licencethismorning, after being lazy for too many years. The only thing that i gotblack marked for was road posistion. I was riding on the right hand side of my lane, aka in right hand wheel tracks of cars. This dick failed me on that saying i was mad, told me, and I quote... "I want you to keep right left, hug the footpath when you can".

Now i disagree with this... Read the motorcycle road code, it tells you i was doing it right!

I will atach a diagram, mirroring the one he drew to tell me where i should sit.

But my major beef here is... isnt he suposed to test me on what the roadcode says, not what he thinks?

    I'm a Right-Hander

Feel safer in the right tyre groove personally, ya can see what is coming better & of course thats the side to pass all those cages on too.

I nearly passed my restricted test coz the prick thought I was going too slow. Well sorry buddy, but if you want me to go & borrow a 250 for your stoopid test, dont expect me to be familiar with it.

I got the same thing o9n my full 3 or 4 weeks ago. Open road riding, I'd take a line into bends that meant I was over nearer to the oncoming traffic.

I was told not to do it in case an oncoming car had a blowout and crossed into my lane.

Seemed dumb to me, but since I had passed, I just took my licence and smiled nicely. It isn't going to change how I ride, though.

Congratulations on passing your test... well done.

Ok maybe it is worth contacting their office and ask to speak to the general manager of that branch and ask him/her where a m/bike rider should be... then when he quotes you from the road code....

Then tell him what the testing instructor told you...
But only tell him AFTER the GM has given you the correct info.

That way he will find out what his employers are doing.
