Link to said area to make life easy for us fat arse lazy buggers?
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

However, their website also mentions a return to racing, although no details of the bikes or timeline are mentioned. The firm who trade under the Norton Villiers name already produce spares and competition parts for the Villiers range of two-stroke motors including some competition gears and cranks.

its not very exciting. And my understanding is that Norton Motorcycles (Kenny Dreer's company) own the Norton name worldwide. there has been a crapload of litigation over the years (not as much as with Indian) but Kenny & Co are well on the way to launching their new range.

    for proper Nortons go here

Future development will also lead to the introduction of the all new, state-of-the-art, Manx Platform. These completely modern motorcycles, including Manx and Interstate, will represent the ultimate expression of the Norton brand.
*Manx* Woz that mean? a real Manx ? Double knocker big single ?

    You'd certainly hope so.

though they have to do them for considerably cheaper than one of Ken McIntosh's ones.

Having said that, when I win Big Wednesday, Ken's is the second number I will be calling (the first will be work, "Yeah, Hi. look I won't be in today, or tomorrow, or, well, ever again")

The production commando pricing is what I regard as reasonable: $14k US for the 961 from memory. Would the Manx recreation be more or less than that? What was the relative pricing back in the day?

A Manx wasn't exactly over the counter,if you asked the price I'd expect you'd get a rather frosty stare over a pair of bifocals....Anyway,I'd rather have a Goldy than a poxy Manx any day.

A once big name making tiddlers to stay alive? Been done many times before...and didn't work.Although Harley Davidson once stooped to such measures, but the quality Italian machines aren't what gave them a bad name in the 70s/80s.

Well, I'd rathe rhave a Velo than either. But ain't nobody offering to restart production of BSA or Velocette models, so I doubt we'll see any new B34 or Venoms.

There is someone doing Goldstar engines only,I guess you are suposed to do the right thing and put them in a Featherbed, but I'd put mine in a Rickman Metisse frame...after all,the Rickman Brothers started out using Goldstar frames for their specials.

Velo's were scary, too many nuts and bolts....I understood Basic British Bike Engineering,Velocete's were eccentric.
