    Props to Honda Ashburton

Ive been meaning to pop a thread up for a couple of days.... I wanted a Honda Hornet 900 but didnt want to deal with Casbolts. (there are a number of threads like this....). Anyway I phoned Honda Ashvegas, and said, get me a bike. He did and a week later I rode it away.

Really friendly, easy to deal with, and nothing was too much trouble.

They have some toys that you wouldnt expect: (racing carts, kickass racing quad with a fireblade motor, dynotune dyno, not to mention the TWO RC45's sitting there... the owner really likes his "Toys")

I am more than happy to recommend them to anyone. They are also now "Red Carpet" Honda dealers, able to sell any bike to anybody.

Christchurch Honda riders now you have a choice! (sorry all you Ducati bods.....)

    Good on them, thanks mate
To every man upon this earth

And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

A Honda RS250 powered Superkart isn't just a "racing cart"

The way i understand it is you have to be a "Red Carpet" Dealer to sell Honda road bikes.

thats my understanding also. As you'd imagine, their core market is the rural types (lots of those big-ass 4 wheelers and spray kits and such) , but with the way farming has been, the cockies are into their toys as much as anyone, and of course with the peso on the plummet things are only looking better for them as well, so they have a full-ish range of MX and other dirt bikes. Also two dirt bikes set up as motards which are racebikes and "quite hot".

is the kart really an RS250? bet it hauls ass!

in answer to the question about the mechanics, I dont know yet, but they built the racing quad, have a dyno room and a shed full of racing iron, and chatting to Vaughn Hyde he seemed to know his stuff. He also talked knowlegeably about tuning my mates SV with Microns and Power Commanders and stuff.
