So you still say bike thieves are not scum, maybe just opportunists? You seem to be avoiding answering this question....

And I work for my money and I respect that most other people do as well, so if I found a wallet and there was money and identification inside I would hand it in. Knowing that someone else may desperately need that money, or even just that it isn't yours and you haven't earnt it should be enough to convince you. Obviously you're a different case.

Apart from the link in your profile, the idiocy of your posts indicates some sort of reckless drug use. You're gutless, you haven't even got the nuts to have an opinion on whether they're scum or not. Crawl back under the bridge mate, you're either high or trolling.

The members of this site are bike enthusiasts, any one of them can tell their mates bikes from others, just because you think they all look alike doesn't mean everyone else is so unobservant.

You're obviously a little thick, so I'll sound the big words out for you. Have you seen an af-ter-mar-ket pipe? It's a re-place-ment muff-ler, some thing that many of us like to fit. It not only makes our bikes sound dif-fer-ent to other bikes, it also makes them look dif-fer-ent. Things like this let us that lik bikes tell them a-part. Got it?

So if bike theives aren't scum and bikes are very non descript but cars are more individualised does that mean that car theives are scum? If so is it because the car has been modified to their tastes and is therefore somehow more valuable to the owner, thus resulting in the theif actually being scum?

i dont mean if you leave your bike its fair game i mean there aint no way 'cops are gonna crack down on bike theft' its impossible, people always gonna steal shit and bikes are a lot easier than cars especially if no locks/alarms etc are attached which i personally dont do, in fact ive never seen a locked up bike when ive been out and about
the chick i sold my old scooter to had her old one stolen and that was locked
we are an easy target ! all i was saying
Sutage - you are just trying to weasle out now. You wrote "its like leaving your wallet on the road.. if someone picks it up can u blame them?"
You are still an arsehole and it would be better if you just pissed off outa here.

Ok Sutage, I'll give you some credit for trying to back-track on what you said, but really, anyone who thinks it's acceptable to take someone elses' property is scum pure and simple.

I think it's sad that people are so surprised when you find a mobile lying on the ground at the airport and you hand it in at the info desk, or someone has left their keys in their bike at the hospital and you hand them in to the nice people in the blue blazers....both of which I've done in the last few months. I don't consider I've done anything special, just the basic consideration for others you should have to be part of society.

I really think you need to get a grip (of yourself rather than that part of your anatomy)

I remember a few years ago I dropped a vehicle that I had sold off to a glazier. Parked outside was a ZZR1100, a very nice bike in its day and still is. The reason it had attracted my attention was that it had a 'for sale' sign on it. So I had a look at it and found the keys were in the ignition. Did I steal it? Of course not, I don't use the same reasoning as Sutage. I rang the owner on his cell phone, turned out his flatmate had parked it there for him in the morning. I grabbed the keys and gave them to the owner of the glass company and told him the owner would be there to collect them soon.

What a fucking idiot I was eh?? I should've taken the bike and transferred the ownership into my name. I mean, the keys were left in it.

Sutage is a bi-product of being raised at Centerpoint. Many years of being Burt Potter's lil bitch would certainly cause such anti social behavour. But that's no excuse for being a cunt. Fuck off hippy.

plus too many illicut substances has made sutage mentally impared. I used to think that thieves where the lowest form of scum, no matter what they are stealing. This person actually is on their side? Some people should be castrated just so they cannot contaminate the gene pool.

I park my bike at home behind my big black agro dog, with a prolock through the wheels and am thinking of an alarm for when its not parked at home.

My bike's not work much in dollar value but to me its priceless.

If I saw anyone in possesion of a mates bike without proper consent I'd beat first and ask questions later. I know my crews bikes quite well, they are easy to tell apart.
