    Track Days - bike type?

Unfortunately I haven't managed to get to a track day yet, and sort of regret not doing it on my old 600 before selling it. I'm looking at trying a different bike on for size in the very near future, ie. a sports tourer or naked or similar, and am unsure about track day protocol....

Are track days limited to supersports bikes only? Can I rock up on a bandit / z750 / monster etc and safely participate? [smilie=1,32,19]

Any bike (in safe condition) is OK. Trackdays are about having fun & trying things out that you wouldn't do on the roads, and to discover/increase your handling skills.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Harleys on a track, go for it, personally i'd love a screaming eagle V rod, and with that neat wee supercharger kit bolted on for a day on the track, reckon it'd be a blast, dont hassle the harley people
Any bike you can get your hands on can go to the track, check out Frosty's thread and come along, good day, espeshly if it's your first track day.

I'ma gunna be there on the KTM. As long as it'll pass scrutineering you're good to go is the usual policy.

This might be a dumn question but are you allowed out on the track at open days with kevlar jeans or do you have to be in full leathers?
