Dunedin, Otago people, I need help

I have a bike Im genuinely interested in and am about a day from handing over the money. Only problem is this guys wants the money ASAP and also wants the bike gone ASAP. Now Im perfectly happy just to jump on a bus or as a pillion (Thanks JWALKER) but I have this rather annoying thorn in my side called work. The guys days off are only on Sunday and monday when I am at (you guessed it) work. And he only finishes at 1800 when he is working, whcih shouldn't bother me, but I have no burning desire (maybe I do) to ride a bike I am not familer with, in the dark till 2 am when I would get back home.

Now is there anyone down there who might be able to help out in any way? Even collecting the bike for me and holding it for a couple of days when I can pick it up on a week day, or someone who might just love my posts enough to meet me half way in exchange for beer and pies. Or even if there is someone down there who idolises me enough to have an appointment up in CHCH that they would ride the bike up here and I would pay for fuel and transport costs back down South?

Any help would be appriciated and rewarded with "bling". Bigbadwolf, I know you are coming up this way soon.

BTW, the bike is registered, warrented and has perfect tread. It has been well looked after and is not needed to be thrashed. I will only be using it to go around the corner on Sundays to church and then to Akaroa the grocery store.

He just posted in another thread about buying a bike in Wellington, maybe that's why they're not rushing to help?

Funny how that never arrived... I did have other things to do that day, yes. So have you decided if you're going to get a bike from Wellington or Dunedin yet? Wouldn't want you to waste anyone elses time.

    Hi Sniper
I hope you are not offended if I ask does this guy have clear title on the bike, ie no money owing to loan sharks? Bit suspect when money wanted and bike to go like ASAP. Probably genuine but...
I have room in my garage here in Oamaru or if passing through Wed or Thursday could put you up for the night. I'm away Friday-Sunday so can't help then. Is this any help to you?
    Cheers
