All these things are stupidly fast, even stock (once you remove the limiter), every time (almost anyhoo) I rode the 12 I had the speedo over 300kph....you don't need that much space to do it......
I'd love to ride a blown one, it'd be farkin insane.......my old turbo's only a bit on the good side of 200hp and it's a handfull, and most of the busa kits start at 300hp.....
Interesting little story I heard a while back about the bonneville boys with turbo busas, they couldn't get as much top end as the engine was capable of as it would hit a 'wall' at 250 odd mph (maybe more,I can't remember the exact figure) and they couldn't keep 'em straight......the rear would try to come around ......the grip on the rear tyre was overtaken by the force it took to push the front through the air at that speed......

Also caused by bikes poor aerodynamics at speed creating lift at the rear.

    Standard gearing

    Standard gearing gives 120kph @ 4000rpm so x 2.5 = 300kph @ 10,000rpm.
Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Blow aren’t just the 4 cycles of an engine

Thanks for that, was hoping an owner could help. Some of the comments here are very interesting, though I do know a bit about "the Legend"! I think the 'busa deserves its status and wonder what Suzuki are going to do for an encore! I heard they derestricted the '06 models in response to the ZX14! Who was waiting for his ZX14 to be delivered? Has it arrived yet? Heard a 'busa engine won the latest dyno comp again with 701hp!!!!!!!!
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
