I've ridden my bike thru the park out the back of our house. Just finished putting it back together, and needed a quick test. Not going to run it all the way out to woodhill just to see whether it works or not, so off I go. Kept the pace and the noise down, never hit power band, and kept well clear of all the people - I stuck to the ungroomed areas. I cant see any problem with that, but if someone was to come along and ask me to leave I would do so without getting abusive at them. Besides, I was doing a quick test, not fanging the crap out of it for ages on end.

Was I doing something wrong? Well, theres no sign saying "No Motorbikes", but I can accept that I wasnt using the park for its intended purpose. However, I didnt damage the park in any way, and made sure that I didnt annoy anyone while I was there. Still, there are always going to be people who will stretch the rules just a little too far . . .

Everytime some idjut goes riding in a public park, people get pissed off. Not pissed off enough to say anything at the time, but pissed off enough to support legislation curbing our activities. Once upon a time we could all go riding in State Forests and on some Conservation Estates, but this is becoming rare. Why do you think this is happening?
Majority rules, that simple. Yea sounds like whats happened down here also. If there was a specified place to ride the problem would be solved. But I reckon another group will get it first

    Ohh Inlinefour

I see you pinged me with another red. Was your bottom lip sticking out while you did it?

But I tell you what - I got far more green feedback. It's good to see there are plenty of mature motorcyclists on KB

    Just a thought!
Little kiddies and old Grannies don't walk down the highway tho do they Paul? If they are then I suspect they have prob escaped their care giver in any case.

I don't get this. Can you please explain the difference between tearing up and down the road, (that you don't approve of), and riding in a public park (which unbelievably you do approve of)? I simply don't understand.

If ya want to ride regularly on your weekends join the local motorbike club. Then you could tear around as fast as you can handle.

I don't get weekends off and no, there is no where to ride here in ya spare time. I get invited to a few private tracks, but only accasionally... and there are enough public parks here to sink a battleship, only need one designated for riding...
