    Bugger mate. Heal fast
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Dude, bugger about the crash. Hope that heals up quick. Look on the bright side, at least you didn't hit that nasty looking concrete thing on the side of the road!

Well, I managed to remove the right bar end *see pic of before and after*
Started the bike up after a few attempts (after realising the kill-switch was on, and the fuel tank was set to 'off' position - silly technicalities), to find there is a small hole in my exhaust (which I'll get my welder friend to fix or maybe make me a new one...
Also, here is a pic of my right boot (left side), from scraping along the ground behind my bike, I plan to get proper bike boots when i get money

The right footpeg, to get back to normal working order, is gonna be a mission and a half, considering the footpeg is one whole bar, from left to right (kinda like handle bars bolted onto the bottom of the bike frame. If anyone wouldn't mind helping a tiny bit (if someone knows how to straighten metal for example), I'd appreciate it.

Haven't got to thinking about the rear-tyre yet, but as far as i can tell, it's just in need of a tube replacement (anyone know how much that is?)

Well... I just got the BEST letter i've had in ages

    nah, it's pretty funny

    LETTER READS:

RE: Traffic Crash, Pyes Pa Road, Tauranga 25/30/2006
    File: 060325/8835

Enquiries have been completed in respect to the above traffic crash at 8.25am on 25/03/2006, whilst driving your Kinetic Motor cycle, *****.

As previously discussed, it appears that your rear tyre has punctured causing you to lose control of the motorbike and sliding off the road.

Consideration has been given and NO Charges or Infringement Notice will be laid in respect to this matter and there will be no further Police action.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

We wish you a speedy recovery from your injuries.

    Yours sincerely,

    Jenny WRIGHT
    Constable F609
    Grteerton
    TAURANGA

Well, my thoughts are: Yes, I've been lying in bed, and trying to sit on my chair comfortably at my computer for 3 days now... so considerate that you decided not to make me pay money for something I'm trying to recover from. haha sliding off the road... you make it sound so... trivial. I recall the time a police car was making sure one of the Targa Rally tracks was clear and his vehicle 'slid off the road... INTO A F**KING DITCH' TRIVIAL ISN'T IT YOU SMUG BASTARDS!!!

    Oh, well, rant over...

Hope it heals fast. Damage doesnt look too bad all things considered. How considerate of the police not to charge you.
Loved the wording of the letter, did you feel like cordually inviting the sender to go and pleasure themselves in a sexual manner?
