    Hmmm.

If anyone's interested in FXR-specific pointers, you have to clutch it up from a rolling start (under 10kph) with the engine spinning over 10k rpm or so. I think. I do it by listening, I don't have time to watch the dials! Don't feed the clutch out progressively, you have pull the clutch all the way in and snap it out or the bike won't lift. If you hit the sweet spot with revs/clutch timing it'll pop up to the balance point, and you can keep it there on the throttle in first gear.

It's funny, there are lots of articles on the net all saying the same things about how to wheelie big grunty sprotbikes but none for the little guy who wants to play...

I would have thought them a peice of p%$$ to stoppie a fxr, they should be light as, so it should be really easy getting the weight transfer going on. But what do I know I don't stunt anymore as I can't afford the repairbills if I get it wrong

Congrats on getting it up though, I find wheelies harder to control.

I guess now that you can get it up you can cancel your internet sourced viagra huh?

Doesn't look like it too me - about 1 foot short - but impressive none the less. Looks like it is on its way down

Now, all you go-fast posers on 250cc fours, let's see some from you eh?

    Good work
Now let's get her out where there's some room and see if you can hook second and keep her up,then you'll be away

Nope, given the fact that I have wheelied it and the fact that the bike is soooo light in the front and the extra weight of our mate JR (aham..) put at the back(ish), I'd say thats about the balance point.

Yup. Gotta be done. I'm gonna nail the technique in the next few months or die trying. Figuratively speaking, anyway.

Can't remember which run that pic was of, TBH. I may have been coming down at that point. I suspect MR is right about the balance point, me being a fat bastard etc. Any further up than where I was in that pic and the bike rolls over backwards quite quickly.

At one point today while I was experimenting my feet slipped backwards off the pegs and I flopped back down rather unceremoniously with my belly against the tank and my feet dragging on the ground... if the bike had been 50kg heavier I probably would have had an embarrassing and expensive moment there. Fortunately that was NOT immortalised on digital camera

Trust me it will, even my work bike (the CT110) does wheelies...... i just need to find a nice quiet place to practice them hehehe, its just your technique that needs the work

You doing those wheelies JR, makes an FXR cool (i cant believe i actually said that )

Well MR yep i can do rolling ones, but i havnt done them in a few weeks so i need some practice but hopefully i will get them back in order

nonsense dude, a mate of mine who now rides a 7R used to ride a ZXR250 and claims that it wheelied quite happily. I've ridden a couple of them myself and popped some little mini-monos, a bit of violent clutching and I'm sure it'd come up good.

Maybe we should have an Auckland 'club 250' get together with one of the forum Stunt Gods where we all get some tips and have a go...

No it really doesnt the clutch jus shits itself as ya have to give it about 15k revs to even jus slightly jump it up and thats like an inch off the ground its a 4cylinder so the torque aint there for low rev wheelies otherwise id be doin em plus the bike is quite a heavy bitch for a 250!

I can get the T-Rex up pretty well with a 2-3 inch bump, or with my feet on the ground from a standstill.
The RG 50 needs more of a bump or some brutality to get the front up though. Anyone in the Tauranga area with a digicam that can be bribed ?
