Try leaning back a bit / pulling on the bars, My ole Gpx used to pull its own wheelies as you crossed the 10k mark unless you were flat accross the tank. Or you could go real crazy and step up onto your pillion pegs until you get it up!

In theory any thing can be wheelied, its just how hard you try. I hate them myself to many 100Kmph plus near bins.

As stated earlier in the thread to me the skill is not in getting it up it is in keeping it up without needing to visit a panel shop.

Is a carpark technically LTSA zoned tho?? Would they not need a complaint from the company who owned the car park or the security agency that managed it?

I believe it is not due to the fact it is on private property, the only thing that can be done is you can be removed from the property....... Another reason why you find a deserted carpark......

LTSA bah humbug. Carpark of private property is outside their jurisdiction (oh and putside OSH). Up here I think I would get away with it as long as I inform the neighbours. A six pack goes a long way to cooling the natives

A carpark is still technically a road under the Land Transport Act. I haven't read this thread completly so I might have missed the context of what is being said but just thought I'd mention this.

The thread started when I posted a photo of myself wheelieing the FXR in a carpark (now my avatar). There's been a bit of to-and-fro-ing about the naughtiness of wheelieing on the road in past threads.

Actually, Spud, you might know... would the trafficos use the 'sustained loss of traction' law to confiscate a bike wheelieing on the road? Given that the front wheel isn't getting much traction, being three or four feet off the ground. Or does it have to be the driving wheels that lose traction? What would the likely charges be? 'Dangerous'? 'Reckless'?

Oh no, now I have that song in my head.

I can prolly take this one.....Last I knew it is dangerous driving, and yes you can get instant disqualification for 28 days then court and lose yer bike for the same......best just run (not that I'm advising this.....)
On the up side, cheers to the copper that looked the other way when I was doing a standup up the passing lane at Meremere the other day ,there are still some good one's out there
