Great discovery (next upgrade on the VTZ of doom done)

I've just foud out the three sweetest words on a light weight sports bike are "Pirelli Sport Demon". I just replaced the rear (Bald IRC) tyre with one and it handles so sweet. I took the long way home just to wear them in and it now grips the road like tar seal.
70 K's up blue mountains road and a real comfortable 110 K's around Whitemans Valley (and safely I might add) and they're not even run in yet. I feel like I've just uncovered the secret of the ages. Not only that but the VTZ sounds great when its worked hard.

Thanks to TSS for the great deal, they even straightened my handle bars for me too. I found the best performance upgrade.

Anyone else got these round rubber miracles?

Never liked 'em on my CBR250 myself, but everyone else seems to. Hard to keep heat in them, but actually very good in the wet despite that. The heavier the bike/rider combo is the better they'd be I reckon.

I'm quite happy with the Battlax's I have on the '10. They're also a great tyre with lots of feedback, allowing a little bit of sliding out of the Newlands off-ramp.....

What day you looking at doing the camchains?

Second that. The BT45s are a great tyre for smaller bikes. I love mine, and as NM has said they do slip a little, but perversley usually only when you're upright. They seem to be a bit stickier on the sides. Must be the dual compound composition.

thats good! i'll have to get them, i know they are great tyres i did near 1000k with them on my gn and they perfomed great. the vt250 spada is lighter than the vtz so thatll be even better

Umm,...mine's more when cranked over, but I think it's more due to aggressively putting 137 horsies through it than any limitations of the dual-compound...
