    SV1000s

    SV1000s images
Anybody else going to be looking at this bike when it comes out? Initial reviews look good. It sound like just the bike I'm looking for.

It it's anything like the SV650, there's gonna be heaps of aftermarket stuff to buy to make it go faster and look better.

The first thing to go would be those fucking godawful taillights!

Theyre going for about $16K arent they?????

$15,995 for the faired and $14,495 for the naked version. When I first saw the new look SV I didn't like it, but it's growing on me . Plus the first images where only side views, and both the old and new SV's don't look the best from that angle.

Not sure what to think of the tail light yet.

From all I've read the SV1000s is a great bike - perhaps the bike the TL should have been in the first place.

I like the sv1000 too esp. the two mufflers instead of one- looks more balanced. As for the LED rear lights, there is greater visibility during daylight with them. I've noticed this with trucks and cars that have them.I reckon in the next couple of years, most bikes will be coming out with them.

I suppose the rumour that they are supplying a new racing version of the SV650 complete with tank dents and scrapes is not true then ?

Started a SV1000 forums web site last week. I guess this what I do when I get impatient waiting for it to turn up at the bike shops. Did the same thing for my SV650s.

Can't wait to get something? Create a web site for it to help pass the time.

At $19995 you could go the 2002 R1 or for $23k you could go the K3 GSXR1k...

Even better for $16k - you could get the hot new CBR600RR - it looks minger!

Thanks for that merv. That vibration problem is getting to be a bit of a worry. A few reviews have mentioned that.
