Photos wanted from the Westpac Ride 12 February

Hi folks,

I have just received a phone call from one of the participants on the above ride on 12 February 2006. He was riding a GB500 with a black and white dog on his bike. Unfortunately he had an accident on the return trip and his dog was killed.

The guy is looking for any photos that were taken on that ride which include his dog. He is more than happy to pay for prints etc, as he is missing a special mate.

I think I saw a sidecar package with a dog... would this be the one?? Just wondering, because when I was looking through the pics, I thought I saw it, and coulda sworn it was the same one that was at the Mt Eden Bikini Bike Wash day.

If its the same, there are definitely photos of that, if that would help...

Hope he has luck with photos,always sad when u loose a pet,can b like loosing a mate.
Unfortnately pets & bikes dont mix, remember max & rastus best of mates & very sad when they had there accident.

I recall seeing the photo after looking at some pics that were posted from the Westpac ride. I tried to find it after seeing your post but I couldn't recall who posted it, and after a lot of searching I came up empty handed.

Then.....in April's edition of Kiwi Rider (Top Mag BTW

) on page 8 there is the photo I was looking for.

I'm really sorry about the loss of his dog, and hopefully the photo is of them.

Thanks Guys, but that is not the bike in question. The rider who contacted me was on a Honda GB500. No sidecar involved.

I did see the Newfoundland in the chair, in fact Scorpygirl and I followed him for most of the ride. Neat outfit.

The photos in KR/KB were moine.

I went through all 60ish wot I took - couldn't find fido.

I have reduced them to 800px and they are currently uploading here

more eyes might spot spot.

if you have any leads, the source files are 22mb open so they can enlarge a bit if rover's in range.

but we could be barking etc etc etc
