bike years?

Right so most of us have heard the term "dog years" which is like for every 1 human year a dog ages 4 years or somthing. But does your bike have the same?? If so it's ratio sucks..

Bough my bike at 26 (000km) and she has , in 7 months, just turned 40.

so she will age like 24 years for every one of our years....... shit.

Umm Would you believe seven?

Bikes are a little different, most bikes bought new and ridden say 20,000K a year will probably be sold around age three years.

Of course if you happened to find a BSA DBD34 in a barn somewhere, in mint condition except for thirty years accumulated bird shit, you would probably want to keep it forever and have it buried with you....

Then again if you live in Auckland and only ride on the sunniest day of the year you would have to buy a new bike everytime the manufacturer brought out a new colour scheme... :-)

doggy years, human years, fly years, chicken ears all are cos they expire with age. A machine can live forever under the right circumstances. There's still original Model T Fords driving around. How old are they then? There's been a few cars that have clocked - twice. There's an old beetle driving around that's done over 2 million miles.
