May favouite pic is of the Lavochin La-9 which came here for the 2002 show. It's a Russian WW2 fighter and the only one of it's kind flying.
    Here's a pic I took.

    Hopefully more KB'ers are going.

    Hi Nudemetalz,

Scorpygirl and i went to the 2004 WOW and the LA-9 was there. John Lamont had a rudder problem while flying it on the Friday practice and managed to limp it back to Wanaka. I will check out my pics and send you any that I have. My eldest son was in the RNZAF and used to work on the Orions. They are a neat plane. I have lots of pics of the P3K if you are interested.
Keep the shiny side upright, Rhino.

Our whole familys going (by car) it'll be our 4th show and I reccomend you go at least once. Not sure if we'll go Friday (its cheaper) and watch the practice or go on the weekend. The F111's are meant to be flying over both days (sat-sun) and doing a flame out (something to do with dumping raw fuel and igniting it, looks really spectacular from what I've heard. Probably worth the trip alone. Have a safe trip everyone. We'll be in the red toyota motobike

Yep, I've got a video of the last air show at Chch Intl, had an F111 doing a 'flame out' there too. Big mother plane... was about 20 years ago now I guess... So much room there, shame they don't have another. Maybe the USAF is running out of C5s to send over

Did the WOW a few years ago, definitely worth a look if you like nice snarly noises

Depends on if I get time off. I would like to go.

yeah smarty pants.... Junkers JU 87 Stuka
Not even close........ the Stuka made a noise to scare people on the ground... the aircraft I posted makes a noise like the stuka due to the holes in the under carage flaps (IIRC) this noise was removed but later put back on the aircraft due to the reason that it made the enemy nervious.

try again BTW its a lot shorta than a Harvard
