Bit harsh you lot, you dont know the guy ,you dont know the situation, reality probably was another mixed up kid from a family that doesnt care in a world which doesnt care and he is now dead, to say good job etc is a bit rich coming from such sqeaky clean, well brought up and balanced individuals as you lot eh ?
If someone nicked my bike I would be quite upset if they got killed on it.

Have a little bit of respect, he paid his life for a dumb move

Hear what you are saying, although I would probably be more upset about my bike being totalled. May sound harsh but if this was the outcome of more (all?) vehicle thefts, then we'd soon see a huge reduction in this crime.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Maybe he stole the bike with the intention of killing himself, he could have been boring and used a Car.

I am a bit surprised by some of the attitudes though, but if you have little human compassion for ya fellow man thats a fault not a blessing eh ?
even if you do hold him beneath your superioir selves
I kinda value a human life a bit more than that, this guy while now a probable idiot (albeit a dead one) is someones son and having a couple of sons who are likely to fly off the handle at something for some reason somewhere, for myself I would be a bit pissed with off the handle coments on this forum.

But if ya have an opinion fair enough.

My guess is that his knuckle dragging family would be used to misfortune. After all, they breed the low life. The only thing I ever stole in my life was a rubber ball that happened to roll out of a shop. When my mum found out I got a 2 hour lecture. I kept on saying to myself, "just hit me bitch and get over it"

I never stole again. Okay a few hearts...

Im not saying its good that he is dead but if your still committing those kinda crimes at 17 then your more than likely to continue committting equal if not more serious crime later on. At least this particual bike theif wont be unlawfully taking anyone elses ride..!
okay your a cop so you could only ever be able to judge someone based on a moments activity, And further only ever to be able to judge someone based on a generalisation of statistics, and further be inept to be able to see a bigger picture so I forgive you for you lack of thinking outside the immediate situation.

Unfair generalisation. I know someone call John Smith and he is a prick, so all John Smiths are a prick?

Well you were lucky... I grew up in foster homes for most of my life. I was a horrible teenager and did a hell of alot of things that my family had no control over, but they did have to "take the flack" for alot of it and I wasnt even living with them. I should have died three times over the last 10-15 years but I didn't (obviously) everytime was doing something stupid, illegal and well basically immoral, if I had died my family would have to live with that for the rest of their lives as well as the gossip about the little shit that had for a kid and I dont even talk to them...
