What magazines are you guys reading now?

I was just a bit curious as to what bike magazines people are reading at the moment. I read 'Kiwi Rider', and have a look at the other mags when I'm in the book sellers, but that's about it.

I was a big fan of 'Performance Bikes' back in 2000 when I got back into riding, but with the untimely demise of Ronnie, Gus, JR, and the departure of Trevor Franklin it's pretty damn boring.

So what are your guy's favourites, and why?

Help me out, I need to spend more of my discretionary income in a somewhat irresponsible manner.

Not really a fan of Kiwi rider, occasionally buy Motorcycle trader for the odd Alan Cathcart review. Otherwise its been pretty much Performance Bikes and Superbike since about '95.
Yep its pretty sad about the guys at PB leaving before their time, but the mag still has some reasonable content and some in depth reviews.
I like your name "Pwalo"......of the Fens. PB inspired perhaps?

Hey Squeek - that sounds good. Where do you get it from?

Hi Pwalo - there was a recent discussion about magazines here that might interest you: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=26969

'Bike' is a goody. Really like 'Two' as well.

Clearly into my mono-syllabic motorcycle mags.

    Oh and 'Empire'.

MCN, PB and SuperBikes.... and anything else I can pick up off the Brit newsagents shelves. Far better variety over here, but I'm still looking forward to getting back to NZ and my fortnightly dose of AMCN from across the Tassie.

Bearing in mind I live in Australia, I read Motorcycle Trader and Rapid Bikes. M.T has a good 60 pages of newsy stuff before getting into the ads, plus dirt bikes at the rear.

My favourite is Rapid Bikes from Australia. Also like Bike magazine from the UK. Occassionally buy Kiwi Rider as well.

I don't 'read' magazines but the title I'm perusing at the moment is Pawn.

Just a hopeless old biker who reads anything 'bout bikes! KR, BRM, TW, MC Sport & Leisure. Like the UK 'Bike' mag too. AMCN and anything that catches my eye with a bike or article of interest... Some of the UK mags, like Superbike and Fast Bikes are thinly disguised porn, (sorry, didn't mean to advertise for them...), so don't usually buy them. Sometimes get Cycle World too. Been reading TW since about '69 and KR since it began, though not really into dirt bikes, bit hard on the old body. and KR is quite biased to dirt these days. Not a criticism, the off road scene is huge in NZ, I just prefer road.

Just bought "Silk Riders" but that doesn't count.

Usually read TWO or BIKE. Whitham and McKenzie are both formerly top racers and know that of which they speak. (Until they empty the wine cask or the umpteenth pint or whatever...)

The two mags are similar enough that to buy both each month would be superfluous as well as expensive. I choose according to the relative content that month...
